About Us
Started in 1999, Wags 'N' Paws Inc is owned by Tina Thornhill, a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). She started her training career in 1990 as an Assistant Curator of Animal Behavior Management at the Knoxville Zoo working with seals and sea lions. She has worked with over 50 different mammal species including but not limited to lions, tigers, bears, llamas, chimps, gorillas, rhinos, as well as many species of birds.
Tina started professionally training pet dogs seven years ago but has always been involved in the training of her own pet dogs. She is currently a Behavior Consultant for the Knoxville Zoo and conducts seminars on Behavior Management and Animal Training Techniques and Terminology.
