Brake Inspection

You should visually inspect your brakes once at least every six months. Here are some things to look for:

Check for grooves or obvious problems on the rotor discs.
Check for uneven wear on the brake pads.
Check for grooves on the brake shoes.
Check the calipers, cylinders, hoses and fittings for any sort of fluid leakage.

Here are some things to check for year round:

If your brake pedal goes all the way to the floor board it needs immediate attention. Listen for out of the ordinary noises like:

Squeaking
Rhythmic noise
Constant noise
