Gorman Brothers owners, Doug and Mike Gorman, grew up helping their grandfather Harry Laurent, who wore many hats, including that of the mayor of Merryville, Louisiana, for 24 years. The most memorable recollection of the Gorman brothers is the summers spent helping their grandfather in his own furniture and appliance store.

Quite naturally, Doug and Mike opened their own appliance business in 1997. Throughout the years Gorman Brothers has grown. The company grew from a 2,500 square-foot facility to the brand new 10,000 square-foot facility.
