Offering mod­ern, state-of-the-art diagnostic and treat­ment capabilities, VRI provides its patients with the very best in care and convenience.

Readily Available Diagnostic Services

VRI offers a complete range of angiographic services necessary to properly diagnose and monitor the progression of retinal diseases.  Flourescein Angiography, ICG Angiography and Verteporfin Photo Dynamic Therapy is performed.  A complete Ultrasonography and Electrophysiology Laboratory is also present. 

Clinical Treatment

VRI offers a major resource for the diagnoses, monitoring and treatment of diabetic retinopathy, a leading cause of blindness in adults.

In its more advanced stages, proliferative retinopathy produces neovascularization, abnormal new vessels which may rupture and cloud the vitreous, or cause scarring which can result in retinal detachment. 

Efficient Administrative Services

VRi's central administrative headquarters is maintained in our Baton Rouge office

Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

Courteous staff members are available to assist in scheduling appointments, coor­dinating referrals, and filing insurance benefit claims.

We participate in most major health plans and we accept cash, checks, and credit cards for payments due from patients at the time of service.

Clinical Information

VRI has been involved in several national studies are principal investigators for drug therapies for macular degeneration. Our doctors are currently involved in several studies comparing the efficacy of those drugs in various retinal diseases.
