Site Excavation, Backfilling, and Compaction

Site Excavation, Backfilling, and Compaction

Whenever there is a need to remove certain dirt and replace it, whether due to a UST removal, contaminated soil excavation, or excavation and disposal of unsuitable fill material, we will compact the backfill material and make up the difference in volume with additional backfill material and/or an appropriate grade of stone as necessary to match as closely as possible the original hydrological and geological functions of the site. Vibratory drum rollers are used to compact backfill in 6- to 12-inch lifts, then we grade the site with up to 2 feet of crusher run to make it suitable for any future use, including pervious paving.
