The year 1994 was a milestone for the Greater Overcoming Church of God, for that year the Church celebrated the Silver Anniversary of Bishop John L. and Mother Gerri Cotton. Under their most capable leadership, the Greater Overcoming Church launched further into GOD'S BIG MOVE:

• The Hour of Prayer program continued with live prayer warriors weekly during the broadcast each Saturday night.
• A beautiful wrought iron fence was erected around the church.
• The entire parking lot was paved and striped for parking.
• A private bathroom was installed in the pastor's study.
• The ladies' bathroom was completely renovated and tastefully decorated.
• The administrative office was computerized with state-of-the art technology.
• But most importantly, God's anointing rested upon each service as never before and miracles of healing, deliverance and spiritual, physical, and financial blessings were manifested continually.
• The Youth Choir was re-activated under the leadership of the Youth Pastor, Evangelist Shawanna Holt and Sister Shalandria Cotton.
• Membership continued to increase as new members, as well as former members, made Greater Overcoming Church of God their home.
