Acupuncture

Traditional acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years. Scientists are just beginning to understand how this time-honored treatment works. Anne Hermann, M.D., P.A., employs a combination of traditional acupuncture and techniques developed by neurologists to further enhance the effectiveness of the treatments.
The National Institute of Health found that acupuncture is an effective treatment for nausea and dental pain. Recent studies have demonstrated remarkable reduction in pain centers of the brain on PET scans of patients with back pain and headaches who are being treated with acupuncture. Uses for acupuncture include pain management for acute and chronic problems, fertility, nausea, bowel problems, asthma, and addiction withdrawal.
