Dr. Hermann has advanced training in bariatric medicine, the medicine of weight loss. She provides a comprehensive weight loss program that includes nutritional counseling, behavioral therapy and medical supervision. She does prescribe medications for weight loss if indicated.

She is a provider of Optifast® and Bariatrix® food products, but can also help people lose weight without any pharmaceutical or food products. Each treatment is tailored to the individual's requirements.

As a weight loss physician, Dr. Hermann also manages cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease. Lifestyle changes are difficult to make. Her multifaceted approach helps patients keep excess weight off.

Smoking Cessation

Dr. Hermann developed an approach to smoking cessation that helps patients break the habit for good. In addition to conventional medication, she treats patients with hypnosis to augment will power and acupuncture to decrease cravings.

Women's Health

Acupuncture is used successfully for treatment of infertility, menstrual pain and symptoms of PMS and menopause. Dr. Hermann has performed extensive research on natural hormone replacement therapy for post-menopausal women. She can provide a safe and effective treatment plan for the symptoms of menopause.

During pregnancy, women must be knowledgeable about foods and drugs that are potentially harmful to the fetus as well as proper nutrition. The combination of self-hypnosis and nutrition education with conventional medicine can reduce stress and optimize the health for both mother and child.
